The Contemporary Monsters series derives from what she refers to as our every day animals or our monstrous selves, the hidden inner beings that we repress in order to become part of civilized society, creatures that we encounter each and everyday in art, TV, literature, our memories, even as we walk through the streets or
most disturbingly in the mirror.
Her work is influenced by everyday life as well as by growing up in a society that uses the hybridization of humans throughout its history.
